Our staff and services

Based in Chicago and founded in 1974, Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC) is one of the nation’s largest community health centers specializing in meeting the health care needs of families, adults, and youth in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.  We’ve woven a comprehensive and innovative portfolio of medical, social service, and research capabilities into a Health Home approach for insured, uninsured, and underinsured patients.  And, we’re using leading-edge technologies and practices to transform how health care is delivered to those we serve.

We ensure our programs and services put our patients and clients FIRST, and are designed to address their changing health and wellness needs throughout their lifecycle.  Whether you already have a family or are beginning to plan for one, whether you’re in those challenging teen years or the graceful senior years, or a single adult in need of culturally sensitive care, Howard Brown Health Center should be the right choice for you.
